94 Days of Summer

Moments, Traditions & Places That Make a Mohawk Valley Summer

Summer begins in small moments. A melting Rocket Pop. Sun-warmed playground slides. The sound of laughter drifting through the park long after lunchtime should have ended. In the Mohawk Valley, these are the moments that become memories, simple snapshots of childhood and summer wrapped together under an endless blue sky.

As the days grow longer and routines soften, summer presents the perfect opportunity to simply be and soak in each moment: lie in a hammock under the stars, plate dinners outside on the patio, walk barefoot through the yard, sit around a bonfire, and share a bowl of popcorn on the porch while a conversation stretches long past sunset.

As a photographer, it’s my goal to capture these candid moments in a still, cinematic fashion. These are the moments that may seem ordinary, but somehow become the best memories, frozen in time, that we revisit over and over.

Like the sweetness of the first popsicle of the season, we look forward to summer in the Mohawk Valley, the heat serving as a reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment. We let the sun dry us at Delta Lake State Park, adventure more and worry less, because in a few fleeting months – 94 days to be exact – summer will end and we will be graced with the presence of Fall.

Fetch your swimsuits, pack the car, and round up the whole family because we’re headed on a trip in the Mohawk Valley. Who knows where Summer 2026 may take us…
