Big Broadway is officially returning to Utica in a major way.
From dazzling new productions and iconic rock operas to crowd-favorite musicals and visually spectacular storytelling, Broadway Theatre League of Utica has announced one of its most exciting seasons yet for the 2026–2027 Adirondack Bank Season at The Stanley Theatre.
“This season is exactly what Broadway Utica is all about — big Broadway, powerful storytelling, and unforgettable experiences right here in our community,” says Executive Director Danielle Padula.
And this year’s lineup truly delivers. The season kicks off in September with the highly anticipated return of The Wiz, bringing its iconic blend of soul, gospel, funk, and unforgettable energy back to the stage in a bold new production direct from Broadway.
October brings the Tony Award-winning smash hit Jersey Boys, the story behind Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons packed with classics like “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Walk Like a Man.”
In January, audiences will experience the breathtaking theatrical spectacle of Water for Elephants, a visually stunning production filled with acrobatics, emotion, and larger-than-life storytelling inspired by the bestselling novel.
Spring then turns delightfully chaotic with Beetlejuice, the wildly funny Broadway adaptation of Tim Burton’s cult classic that has become one of the hottest tickets on tour.
Music fans will also see the return of the groundbreaking rock opera The Who’s Tommy, followed by the season finale, SIX, the international pop-musical phenomenon that transforms the six wives of Henry VIII into modern-day pop icons.
Beyond the performances themselves, Broadway Utica continues to elevate the region’s arts and entertainment scene by bringing nationally touring productions, educational programming, and community partnerships directly to the Mohawk Valley.
Current subscriber renewals are now underway, with flexible packages and new subscription opportunities becoming available this summer.
For theater lovers across the region, the message is clear.
Broadway is shining bright in Utica.
