When people think about a financial advisors, they often picture numbers, investments, and financial plans. What they do not always see are the people behind them.
Today, the women of Strategic help lead and support an independent wealth management firm that serves individuals, families, businesses, retirement plan participants, and nonprofit organizations throughout Central New York, with more than $3.1 billion in assets under management as of September 2026. Women represent more than 30% of Strategic’s ownership team and hold leadership roles throughout the organization, helping shape the firm’s success and future.
One of the things that makes Strategic special is that there are many paths to success. The women of the firm come from different backgrounds, have different experiences, and bring unique strengths to the table. Some built careers in financial planning and wealth management. Others found their passion in operations, marketing, client service, and retirement plans.
But what truly connects them is a shared belief in Strategic’s purpose: helping people live a great life.
That purpose is bigger than financial planning. It is about helping people gain clarity and confidence so they can navigate life’s challenges, pursue meaningful goals, and focus more of their time and energy on what matters most to them. Whether working directly with clients, supporting retirement plan participants, helping business owners, or creating memorable experiences behind the scenes, every woman at Strategic contributes to that mission in her own way.
That spirit has been part of Strategic’s story from the very beginning. Among those who helped shape the firm in its formative years is Judy Vicks Sweet, CFA, whose leadership played a significant role in building both the company and the culture that defines it today. Her commitment to community involvement, generosity, and helping others has left a lasting mark on Strategic and continues to influence the way the firm serves clients, teammates, and the communities where we live and work. In fact, one of Strategic’s core values is simply: Serve.
For the women of Strategic, that value extends far beyond the office. It means showing up for clients
during important moments in their lives. It means mentoring colleagues, supporting local organizations, volunteering for causes they care about, and investing their time and talents to make the Mohawk Valley a better place to live and work.
Every day, the team has the opportunity to walk alongside individuals, families, business owners, and nonprofit leaders as they navigate important decisions and. Sometimes that means helping a family prepare for retirement. Sometimes it means supporting a business owner through transition to the next generation or helping a nonprofit deliver on its mission. While the work often involves financial strategies and long-term planning, the impact is deeply personal.
That same sense of purpose carries into the community. The women of Strategic can be found serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring young professionals, supporting schools and charitable organizations, volunteering their time, and helping strengthen the region they call home. Community involvement is not something that happens separately from work.
It is a natural extension of the firm’s mission to help people live great lives.
The women of Strategic may have different backgrounds, talents, and responsibilities, but they share a common purpose: helping people live great lives. It is a purpose reflected in their work, their leadership, and their commitment to serving others throughout the Mohawk Valley.
